A full-floor headquarters for a group of private business and philanthropic organizations that asked for one thing above all: quiet presence. The response was a suite of richly figured and fumed Eucalyptus millwork paired with extensive glazing - clear, tinted, and opaque - that opens to lake and city views while managing distraction. Detailing throughout minimizes the intrusion of structure, hardware, and mechanical systems. What remains is space, carefully considered.
